How to start IES Preparation for scoring 837 marks in First attempt

Introduction
ESE is like any other engineering exam which requires hard work, planning and perseverance to succeed. The main difference is the subjective paper.
Since, only 0.3% is the success rate, most engineering graduates prefer GATE exam.
And why not to prepare for GATE? When it opens door to apply in huge number of PSUs. But, they get to know these info while applying for it.
And, That really sucks!
Hey Friends!
This post is really important to you, if you want to crack IES in first attempt.
Know everything about IES 2019 Notification.
1. Early Start, Very Smart:
This is the most important thing that most people miss and apologize later on.
I will suggest you preparing for IES from second year is the smartest move.
IES is such an examination which a mediocre student can also crack with hard work and consistency.
But, the main difficulty lies in making a balance between college/university life and IES preparation.
This can only done by realising your dream and why you want to be an IES as discussed in Tips-2.
This will also help you excel in your engineering as well.
But, watching late night movies and birthday party will lead you astray, far from your goal.

2. Why you need to be an IES Officer:
Before starting your preparation for IES, Ask yourself first: Why not How?
Until and unless, you're not passionate, it will be a dream.
Some people fail not because of talent knowledge but because of desire, discipline and dedication.    -Shiv Khera.
Link it with your family or the society and how you can help them.
I feel nostalgic about students preparing for months but don't have answer to this. People are driven by needs (not wants).
Figure it out and keep it in your mind, will add fuel to your burning desire. This will help you in preparation as well as in the personality test.
